Tysons is often viewed as a chain mecca, with little soul. While it is easy to see how others would assume that, Tyson’s does have some soul if you look carefully.
Shamahiry is one of those gems, one of the best kabob and rice places in the area, they have a great reputation for delivering flavorful rice, great kabobs at a low price. My inside secret is to ask for the crunchy rice!

Shamshiry also has a pick-up place off tyco road call “Shamshiry Express”, I have picked up take out from thee twice. While the food is prepared while you wait, I perfer the orginal restuarant. However, the “express” has a great tongue sandwich that is not on the menu at orginal location.
